Oakland Triathlon to bring 1,000 racers to Jack London Square

Oakland, Calif. – August 24, 2017: Hundreds of participants in the annual Oakland Triathlon will complete the challenging race when they cross the finish line at the waterfront Sunday. The first event is swimming the estuary, followed by a bicycle race through the Oakland Seaport, and ending with a run to complete the competition in Jack London Square.

Approximately 1,000 athletes are expected to join the three-pronged race. The event is a fundraiser for several organizations including Oakland sports programs as well as the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America.

Saturday, August 26, 2017 – Packet Pickup/Expo/Late Registration

  • Location:  Jack London Square
  • Hours:  11am-5pm

Sunday, August, 27, 2017 – Race Day

  • 5:00am Transition Open
  • 8am-1pm Expo, Food, Beer, and Live Music
  • 1pm Post Race Party Complete
