Jack London Square’s French restaurant features live music and more

Left Bank Brasserie special events to enhance the summer dining experience

Oakland, Calif.—May 30, 2024: Left Bank Brasserie is a bustling place this summer with several events and promotions. The Parisian-style brasserie restaurant, specializing in French cuisine, is in the heart of Jack London Square at 55 Water Street.

Left Bank kicks off the summer with a waterfront patio music series. The Friday evening series will begin on June 7 and runs through July 12, during dinner from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. This complements the Sunday afternoon serenades from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. that began on May 7 and continues through September 29.

Summer events are perfect for the whole family, including canine companions, who are welcome to dine al fresco with a specially curated Chou Chou Doggy Menu. Canine cuisine began in April and will run as long as the weather is good on the patio. Ten percent of doggy dining proceeds will go to Oakland Animal Services.

“At Left Bank, we are blessed with a beautiful outdoor patio, and we noticed that many members of our community were out walking their dogs, especially in good weather,” said Obadiah Ostergard, CEO of Vine Hospitality, the restaurant group that operates Left Bank. “We wanted to be able to serve them, offering them a place to meet people or stop by to eat or drink with their dogs in tow, and as restaurateurs, we wanted to have something besides just water for the dogs too.”

In addition to the Brasserie’s wide selection of Francophile fare, diners can enjoy a $25 three-course, prix-fixe lunch menu offered through December 31.

If you desire to further immerse yourself in French culture, join the celebration of “La Fête du Cochon,” translated as the Pig Festival, June 7 through June 9, and dine on a range of pork delicacies, from cassoulet to boudin noir.

Left Bank offers a Francophile experience and celebrates Father’s Day, June 16, with special brunch and dinner options. Dine on the American classic burger with a French twist or prime rib dinner.

“We’re looking forward to a variety of events and promotions offered this summer at our Oakland waterfront,” said Port of Oakland Chief Real Estate Officer Jonathan Veach. “Left Bank is a great example of the success and activation we desire for all our Jack London Square tenants.”
