Zero Emission Equipment at the Seaport

The Port of Oakland continues to work with its tenants to convert to zero-emissions trucks and equipment. The following is a summary inventory of known electric equipment at the Seaport (as of December 20, 2019):

  • 33 electric ship-to-shore cranes (at all marine terminals)
  • Battery electric on-road drayage trucks (Class 8)
    • 1 Phase I BYD truck at GSC
    • 2 Phase II BYD trucks at GSC
    • 4 Phase II BYD at Sealogix
  • Battery electric off-road yard tractors (Orange EV)
    • 2 at OMSS (City)
    • 1 at Conglobal (City)
    • 1 at GSC
    • 1 at Impact Transportation
  • Electric forklifts for transloading operations (at Cool Port, Impact Transportation, and Unicold)
