New sushi bar gives modern twist on traditional Japanese temaki hand rolls
Oakland, Calif.—May 15, 2024: Kuidaore Handroll Bar, a new sushi bar offering a modern twist on traditional Japanese hand rolls, just opened at 431 Water Street in Jack London Square, Oakland.
Kuidaore Handroll Bar specializes in sustainably sourced seafood, including salmon, bluefin tuna and yellowtail as well as local sustainable caviar, highest-grade wagyu beef, small plates, sashimi, and a wide assortment of beverages. A unique layout with sushi bar-only seating delivers a fun, interactive experience.
In Japanese, the name ‘Kuidaore’ loosely translates to ‘eat until you drop’ and is a motto for the owner’s love of food, especially sushi. The restaurant hopes its guests will indulge themselves and enjoy all the unique flavors and textures of the hand rolls and other dishes available.
“I’m very excited to be able to be a part of Jack London Square–such a beautiful waterfront staple of Oakland–and looking forward to the summer days to come being open in such a bustling waterfront,” said Marcella Luu, owner of the new Kuidaore Handroll Bar. “Choosing my location to be in Oakland was a huge decision but felt it was central to all the Bay Area food lovers, especially my concept of hand rolls which is newer to the restaurant scene and definitely for Oakland.”
