Oakland, Calif. – September 29, 2021: San Francisco Fleet Week 2021 is scheduled from Sunday, October 3rd through Monday, October 11th, 2021. Air show performers will include the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, and other military and general aviation performers who will be based and utilizing the North Field at Oakland International Airport. The Blue Angels is a flight demonstration squadron of the United States Navy. Formed in 1946, the unit is the second oldest formal aerobatic team in the world, after the French Patrouille de France formed in 1931. This will be the seventh year that the Blue Angels have used OAK as their home base for the event.
The Blue Angels will arrive at OAK on Sunday, October 3rd at 6:00 p.m., with public events scheduled throughout the following week. During practice sessions and the air show demonstrations, airport neighbors and those along the bay shoreline will experience an unusual level of aircraft activity and noise.

- Wednesday, 10/6: 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Media flights
- Thursday, 10/7: 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. Airshow practice
- Friday, 10/8: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Airshow flights
- Saturday, 10/9: 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Airshow flights
- Sunday, 10/10: 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Airshow flights
- Monday, 10/11: 10 a.m. Blue Angels departure

OAK COMMUNITY OUTREACH
The Airport’s outreach efforts are part of an established Noise Abatement Program that works with surrounding communities on noise concerns related to operations at OAK. This is done in addition to efforts such as monitoring aircraft activities and educating pilots and air traffic controllers on noise procedures.
