The Port of Oakland has partnered with BidNet as part of the California Purchasing Group to post formally-bid public works bid opportunities and engineering-related Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Qualifications (RFQs) to the BidNet Direct website. As a vendor, you can register with the California Purchasing Group to ensure that you see all available bids and opportunities. By selecting automatic bid notification, your company will receive emails once the Port of Oakland has a bid opportunity that matches your company’s business. In addition, the site handles bid opportunities, RFPs, and RFQs for other member governmental agencies throughout California. Bid results for recent Port of Oakland public works projects will also be available via the above links.

Geographic Information System Standard of Practice

Standard Contract Provisions [February 2015 Edition]
The Port of Oakland Standard Contract Provisions are incorporated by reference in the bidding documents for all public works projects put out to bid by the Port. On February 26, 2015, the Port issued a revised edition of the Standard Contract Provisions. Port of Oakland Progress Payment Forms
Per the provisions of the Port of Oakland Standard Contract Provisions Manual [2015 edition], Section 01200, Measurement and Payment, Paragraph 1.07, the Contractor must submit, for each payment request, a Progress Payment Report and a Subcontractor Payment Declaration.

Important Announcement to Port Bidders (New Regulations from Department of Industrial Relations):
No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project (submitted on or after March 1, 2015) unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 [with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under Labor Code section 1771.1(a)].
No contractor or subcontractor may be awarded a contract for public work on a public works project (awarded on or after April 1, 2015) unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5.
NOTE: When you download Bidding Documents from the hosting site, you will be prompted to register as a document holder. If you do not wish to register, you can obtain a copy of the Bidding Documents via one of the plan rooms listed in the document holder list, or contact a reprographics company and ask them to download and print a copy for you.
Please be advised that if you bypass the registration process or obtain Bidding Documents from some source other than the hosting website, you will not receive fax or email notifications, responses to bidder questions, or any other project announcements.
In our effort to be more sustainable, please also note that the Port Engineering Department no longer distributes hard copies of its bidding documents.
